The Second Annual AZ Tech Innovation Summit was held in March 2018 and featured speakers from some of the state’s most innovative tech companies, as well as the investors who are powering today’s most exciting startups. The Summit brought together more than 400 attendees, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, business professionals, venture capitalists, government leaders and university executives and featured panel discussions on topics relating to technology, innovation, and Arizona’s growing tech ecosystem.
A highlight of the Summit was when Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed legislation establishing Arizona’s FinTech Sandbox. The Sandbox, which is the first in the nation, offers visionary thinkers and entrepreneurs a platform to test unique, tech-based services and products without first obtaining full state licensure or other onerous authorization that would otherwise be required.
As noted by Governor Ducey, “FinTech is going to fundamentally transform banking, finance and technology.” The establishment of Arizona’s FinTech Sandbox will further differentiate the state as a leader in emerging technologies.
