On Oct. 12, Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak announced the launch of Woz U in Arizona. Woz U is a digital insitutue that aims to reprogram tech education and to inspire the next generation of innovators. The event drew a high profile audience, including U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake, Gov. Doug Ducey and his chief of staff Kirk Adams as well as other business and tech leaders from across the state and country.
Woz U offers a 33-week higher-education program for computer-support specialists and software developers. With corporate headquarters in Scottsdale and online classes available, Woz U is designed to get students into the workforce quickly and affordably.
